‘The fact that the organisation supports you in your development and trusts you, motivates me to go for it 100%’
My name is Francien Wijnings, 48 years young and I have been working for Inter-Sprint Banden BV since September 1993 in the financial administration department. I started at the old location in Heinenoord and moved to Moerdijk where I still work with a lot of pleasure.
When I started at Inter-Sprint, the company was a lot smaller and I had a broad range of tasks. I was able to experience many different aspects within the company and I gained a lot of knowledge. The organisation grew, buildings were added and some of my tasks were transferred to other departments. At the moment, my work mainly consists of the accounts payable administration for Inter-Sprint, Inter-Tyre and WheelTyre. But also the sales bonuses and the commission payments to the Inter-Sprint agents abroad fall under my responsibility.
At Inter-Sprint employees are given the space to take initiative and to think along with projects. That makes the work extra fun. The “no nonsense” mentality on the work floor is very important to me. As colleagues, we tackle problems together. This mentality can be found in all layers of the organisation, from warehouse staff to management.
Employees are given the opportunity for personal development by, for example, taking online courses. There are also opportunities for classroom training to gain additional knowledge in your field. I was able to complete the ‘Practical Diploma in Accountancy’ course and I will be starting an MBA course shortly. The fact that the organisation supports me in this and shows confidence in me, motivates me to go for it 100%.
In short, I am secretly very proud of our organisation.
